The stars of Netflix's drama 13 Reasons Why are getting significant pay increases for the upcoming third season, according to a new report. Deadline reports that the show's lead, Dylan Minnette, will make around $200,000 per episode for the new season.
There will be 13 episodes in the third season, so Minnette is due to make around $2.6 million in all. The show's other stars, Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Justin Prentice, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid, and Ross Butler, will earn about $135,000 per episode. If the show gets renewed for a fourth season, they're expected to make $150,000 per episode.

Now Playing: The Biggest TV Shows To Watch In 2018
According to Deadline, Minnette was paid around $80,000 per episode for Seasons 1 and 2, with the other castmates making between $20,000 and $60,000. Following the exit of Seasons 1 and 2 star Katherine Langford, Minnette is now the show's biggest lead.
Deadline reports that the pay bumps for the 13 Reasons Why stars are in part related to the big pay increases that the stars of Stranger Things got for their own third season. The leads on that other Netflix program will reportedly make $250,000 per episode. Stranger Things Season 3 is only eight episodes, compared to 13 Reasons Why's thirteen.
13 Reasons Why, which is based on the 2007 novel of the same name, follows the story of a girl who killed herself and left 13 tapes relating to people who she said contributed to her death. The show, which is produced by singer Selena Gomez, has been controversial and very popular. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said recently, "It is controversial. But nobody has to watch it."
Season 1 premiered in 2017, with Season 2 coming the following year. Season 3 is scheduled to debut in 2019.
