Publisher 2K Games has released a new gameplay video for XCOM 2.
The footage, which you can watch below, is narrated by XCOM 2 producer Jake Solomon, who highlights some of the key differences between XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and this sequel.
The portion of the gameplay demo shown takes place on the anniversary of Unification Day, which commemorates humankind's surrender to the aliens.
XCOM soldiers are sent on a sabotage mission, which is one of the new mission types that is being introduced in the sequel.

XCOM 2's release date will be in November, 2K has confirmed. The game is currently on scheduled for launch on PC.
The sequel "transports players 20 years into the future, where humanity lost the war against the alien threat that has established a new world order."
"The secret paramilitary organization known as XCOM is largely forgotten, and must strike back to reclaim control of Earth and free mankind from the aliens’ rule."
Among the new features for XCOM 2 are procedurally-generated levels, which "will make each experience unique to the player," and a "deeper level of modding support."
The game will also feature five updated soldier classes, increased soldier customisation, a variety of new alien and enemy types, evolved tactical combat, "and more."
