Microsoft has today announced that it will launch an Xbox Live Giveaway in Europe next month. Anyone playing Xbox Live between March 1 and March 14 will stand a chance of having his or her gamertag randomly selected to win either a cash prize or a limited-edition Xbox goody bag.
Every day for two weeks, one gamertag will be selected to receive a cash prize of 1,000 euros ($1,286), while 35 runners-up will each receive a black and green Xbox courier bag containing a Controller S, a limited-edition Xbox T-shirt, and 10 Xbox Live games including Project Gotham Racing 2 and Top Spin. The value of each goody bag is approximately 650 euros ($836).
Winners' gamertags will be posted regularly on Xbox.com throughout the two-week giveaway, and winners will also be notified by e-mail. The countries participating in the giveaway are France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, and the UK. The full terms and conditions can be found at the official Xbox Live Giveaway Web site.
