What's the best sci-fi movie you never heard of that's coming out this year? That would be the Wing Commander flick, overshadowed as almost all sci-fi films are this year by the impending release of the new Star Wars movie - is set for a March 12 release. Between now and then, expect to see the by-now-expected licensed properties start to hit store shelves near you.
Digital Anvil, the company founded by Chris Roberts, who created the Wing Commander game series and directed of the file announced a number of licensing deals. Wing Commander licensed properties are set to include: action figures and space ships, adult and junior novelizations and other prose adaptations of the film, a Wing Commander magazine from Starlog, posters, masks and costumes, bicycles and backpacks, T-shirts, hats, and posters.
