NEW YORK CITY--Today during a media presentation in New York City, Nintendo confirmed the Wii U will launch in North America November 18. An 8GB basic model in white will be available for $299, while a 32GB deluxe version will hit store shelves in black for $350.
The basic Wii U model will come with one Wii U GamePad, an AC adapter, HDMI cable, and a sensor bar. The deluxe set will include everything from the basic set, as well as additional memory, a cradle for the console, stands for the GamePad, and a copy of NintendoLand.
The Wii U will launch in Europe on November 30 with the basic and premium bundles available. Pricing in that region will be decided by retailers. The system launches in Japan on December 8.
Concerning launch titles, Nintendo confirmed that New Super Mario Bros. U will be available for the system day-and-date with the console come November. The company also said Lego City Undercover will be a "launch window" title. Those who preorder the game will score an exclusive minifigure.
Nintendo also today took the veil of a new Nintendo TVii service. The application will allow gamers to "find, watch, and engage" with TV, movies, and sports. Included with this initiative includes Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and Tivo. The TVii service also makes use of Nintendo's social hub Miiverse, allowing users to connect with others via comments, tweets, and more.
Elsewhere during the presentation, Nintendo announced Bayonetta 2. It will be a Wii U exclusive, and is in development at Platinum Games. Additionally, the company confirmed that Platinum Games' P-100 has been renamed The Wonderful 101. It is also a Wii U exclusive.

Lastly, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg took the stage to confirm the publisher's plans for the Wii U. The company confirmed that Skylanders Giants, 007 Legends, Transformers Prime: The Game, and Wipeout 3 are all coming to the system.
Additionally, Hirshberg confirmed long-running speculation that Call of Duty: Black Ops II would come to the Wii U. A live multiplayer demo of the game was shown during the presentation on a map set in Singapore. Additionally, Hirshberg confirmed that Black Ops II on the Wii U will run at 60 frames per seconds, just as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions do.
