Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases on Switch March 20, and if you're thinking of buying a Switch specifically for this island getaway, you're in luck. An Animal Crossing-themed Switch will release March 13, and Nintendo went all out for this special edition console. It features custom Joy-Cons, a uniquely colored and textured back panel, and an adorable Switch dock. The new Switch has been a hot topic ever since it was announced a couple weeks back. Unfortunately, pre-orders are sold out at all major retailers. There's a chance pre-orders could reopen before launch, but quantities will likely be highly limited.
The Animal Crossing Switch releases one week before the game's launch, but it doesn't come with a copy of New Horizons. Still, this is probably the best limited-edition Switch we've seen so far.

The dock features Tom Nook and his nephews, and it's very cute. The Joy-Cons will be sold separately in Japan, but Nintendo hasn't announced plans to bring the set to the US, too.
A #NintendoSwitch system inspired by #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons is on the way! The images we've seen of the Switch also confirm that it's the new model with better battery life, as it sports the HAC-001(01) serial number. That means you'll be able to explore your Animal Crossing island on the go for longer.
A unique carry case and screen protector are also coming, for those of us who can't bring ourselves to buy a whole new Switch.
