Unofficial Skyrim Patch Already Being Converted To Skyrim Special Edition-April 2024
Apr 25, 2025 3:39 AM

The Unofficial Skyrim Patch is already being converted to the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition for PC.

Skyrim Special Edition for PC and consoles won’t release until later this week, but already the game’s comprehensive bugfixing mod, the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, is being converted and deployed.

The Unofficial Skyrim Patch (aka USKP) aims to eventually fix every bug with Skyrim not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools. The patch for the Legendary Edition of Skyrim included hundreds of gameplay/quest/NPC/item/object text and placement fixes, but due to the recent conversion to the Special Edition, only a few of those features are working for now.

  v4.0.0 (2016-10-28)

  USSEP Fixes

Initial conversion to Skyrim Special Edition:

Filename and acronym have been changed.

Water height and river flow data have been merged from the new Update.esm. Data missed in the DLCs was also corrected at this time.

Merged hi-res texture fixed in the old Unofficial High Resolution Patch. The Unofficial High Resolution Patch is now obsolete and should not be used.

Skyrim Special Edition releases for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on October 28.
