It might almost be hard to believe if you've followed the attempts to get an Uncharted movie made over the past decade, but production on the film has finally wrapped. The news was revealed in a new image tweeted by the movie's official account.

　　The image shows a clapperboard that includes the names of director Ruben Fleisher and cinematographer Chung-Hoon Chung. It also include the iconic ring originally owned by explorer Francis Drake and passed down to his treasure-hunting descendant Nathan Drake, the hero of Uncharted. The caption is the famous Latin phrase engraved on the ring: "Sic Parvis Magna," which means "So great and small." Check it out below:

　　This follows an image released week which revealed star Tom Holland in costume as Drake. Uncharted didn't even start production until July, and the relative speed at which it has finished shooting is in stark contrast to the tortuous journey it's had to get to this point. It was first announced back in 2008, and since then has been through numerous directors, writers, and potential actors.

　　Uncharted also stars Mark Wahlberg--who was himself under consideration to play Drake a decade ago--as Drake's companion Victor "Sully" Sullivan, plus Antonio Banderas (The Expendables 3), Sophia Ali (Grey's Anatomy), and Tati Gabrielle (The Owl House). It hits theaters on July 6, 2021.

　　In related news, Holland announced this week that's he about to start shooting the next Spider-Man movie. The film follows 2018's Spider-Man: Far From Home, and releases in December 2021.
