Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter sees the franchise go into new territory--specifically the setting of Mexico City. In a case of life imitating art, Ubisoft appears to be following in the path of the fictional Ghosts.
The France-based publisher opened the doors of its new office in Mexico City, Mexico, today. The operation will "focus on establishing business relationships to help increase Ubisoft's market share in Mexico" and be headed up by Etienne-Charles Nobert.
"Opening an office in Mexico is a strategic decision for Ubisoft," said Olivier Ernst, Ubisoft's general manager of operations in Canada and Latin America. "The Mexican market shows more stability than before, and we believe it provides an amazing opportunity for growth in video games."
Ubisoft also announced the list of games that will appear at the Electronic Games Show (EGS) in Mexico City's World Trade Center October 27-29. Among the games that will be present are Red Steel, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Open Season, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, and Rainbow Six Vegas.
