GameSpot News has learned that Nevolution's Shugotenshi and Aztech's Legacy of the Fallen, two add-on packs being developed for Monolith's Shogo: MAD, have been canceled due to unknown reasons.
News of these cancellations came as a surprise to Monolith, who even though didn't have plans to publish the games, were counting on a rise in Shogo interest with their release. "Whatever happened, it was on their side", Monolith's Paul Butterfield told GameSpot News. "We just gave both developers the rights to work on a Shogo add-on and really had no control over the actual development or distribution".
Shogutenshi was scheduled for a summer UK release while Legacy of the Fallen was expected to hit North American shores in spring. However, all is not lost for fans hoping for a chance to delve further into the Shogo universe. Nevolution's Steve Delrue has posted six deathmatch maps originally intended for the add-on on his website. Shogo owners can download those maps for free.
