Tunic was one of the best games of 2022, offering tight combat, striking graphics, and a mysterious world to explore. Much of that mystery was derived from its lack of handholding, which forced you to learn its nuances on your own and slowly piece together a cryptic in-game instruction manual. Now that instruction manual is being brought to life. To coincide with the Tunic’s physical launch later this summer, you can now preorder a gorgeous replica of the in-game manual for just $19.

This isn’t your average instruction manual found in games from a decade ago; it's a hardcover book that comes with a protective slipcase for easy storage. All told, it clocks in at 56 pages--which are printed in full color and pull directly from the in-game artwork.

The Tunic Hardcover Instruction Book clocks in at 9.5 inches by 7.25 inches and would make a great addition to any coffee table, game room, or bookcase.
If you’re interested in more Tunic goodies, consider checking out the Tunic Deluxe Edition, which offers sticker sheets, an overworld map, digital soundtrack code, two booklets and a physical copy of Tunic for either Switch or PS4. One of the booklets is the instruction manual, but this one does mirror the staple-bound instruction manuals of the past. Dedicated Tunic fans may want to preorder the hardcover manual and the physical edition of the game at Fangamer. You can also preorder Tunic's Deluxe Edition at Target.

Tunic garnered a lot of much-deserved praise last year, so we wouldn't be surprised to see these preorders sell out. Both the Tunic Hardcover Instruction Book and Deluxe Edition ship on July 28, but if you're interested in snagging a copy, you should head over as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Our Tunic review gave it a 9/10, praising it for just about everything it had to offer. So if it flew under your radar last year, now is a great time to dive in.
“A few blemishes aside, the eight-year wait for Tunic has been completely worth it,” wrote critic Richard Wakeling. “If you could lay out all of its pieces separately like a broken puzzle, each one might seem derivative. However, when you put all the pieces together to create a full picture, they make for a game that's quite unlike anything else.”
