Perfect World Entertainment is mostly known for free to play titles, but the team is soon going to release a non free to play top down shooter game called Livelock. After showing the game during the E3 2016 last week, Perfect World Entertainment has confirmed when players will be able to enjoy their game.
Livelock will be released simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 2nd for the price of $19.99. A three pack of the game will also be available for purchase for the price of $44.99.
Livelock will transport players to the 22nd century, where humanity has to fight against the Clusters, groups of corrupted machines. Controlling the Capital Intellect, players will be able to use a unique arsenal of weapons to fight the corrupted Clusters and bring an end to the war.
Livelock transports players into the 22nd century, the age of the machine. Nearly a century after the cataclysm, it’s up to you to restore humanity. Clusters - groups of corrupted machines control what remains of the earth, fighting each other in an infinite war over resources that now threatens the very planet itself. Players take control of a Capital Intellect, a human consciousness uploaded to large mechanical body. Armed with a unique arsenal of weapons and special abilities, the Capital Intellect must fight the corrupted machine Clusters and break the cycle of an infinite war, before humanity is forgotten in the annals of history.
During the E3 2016, our own Kai had the chance to try out Livelock, noting how the game feels a lot like the recent PlayStation 4 exclusive Alienation, with plenty of fast paced action and powerful weapons.
Livelock launches this August on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
