Syber, which is the branch of CyberPowerPC dedicated to living room computers like Steam Machines, has two simultaneous deals going on ahead of Black Friday. Its Steam Machines (as well as its other offerings, like the Vapor One) are $100 off, and there's an additional $100 main-in rebate to go along with it. That's obviously not as ideal as a straight-up $200-off offer, but it does ultimately represent a 40 percent discount on its cheapest Steam Machine.
The price and basic specs for each of Syber's three Steam Machines follow below.
All three systems run SteamOS, the new operating system designed for Steam Machines. A recent technical analysis showed that performance on the operating system may suffer compared with Windows, but it's possible this could change going forward.
These Syber Steam Machines were among the first to be released by any company, debuting alongside offerings from Alienware and Zotac in October. While these Syber configurations are undoubtedly pricey when compared with standard computer builds, these sale prices do make them among the cheapest Steam Machines out there currently.
