The Sims Staggers-April 2024
Apr 19, 2025 10:46 AM

It's the game Americans refuse to stop buying. Disney Interactive's Who Wants to be a Millionaire, after having conceded its title as the best selling PC game for over a month, reclaimed the top slot for the week ending March 4 according to the latest sales figures from PC Data. The jump has ousted Maxis' The Sims, which enjoyed a five week run at the top. For this week, The Sims dropped to second place.

Most of the other games on the list maintained their same sales status from last week, with the exception of a few. Unreal Tournament, which showed resurgent sales in February, reappeared in tenth. Starcraft, released nearly two years ago, also continues to sell at a very strong rate, making the list at ninth this week. The entire list is as follows:

Rank Title Publisher Price1 Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Disney $192 The Sims Electronic Arts $443 MP Roller Coaster Tycoon Hasbro Interactive $294 Microsoft Age of Empires II: Age Of Kings Microsoft $455 Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Gold Edition Red Storm Ent. $246 MP Roller Coaster Tycoon Corkscrew Follies Hasbro Interactive $207 Might & Magic VIII: Day Of The Destroyer 3DO $478 Nox Electronic Arts $429 Starcraft Havas Interactive $2810 Unreal Tournament GT Interactive $45
