Jane's Combat Simulations has released the Fighters Anthology - which combines the games Advanced Tactical Fighters, NATO Fighters, and US Navy Fighters 97 into one package. That means 100 of Jane's meticulously researched planes covering the years 1960 through 2000 are available on a single title.
Players can engage in multitudes of single-player missions with the Fighters Anthology, but the real thrill is probably going to be logging onto the company's Online Gaming Center, where players (at least as long as they're equipped with Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher and Authenticode 2.0) can test out the game's airbase assault option.
That translates into playing for free over the Net, and ganging up with (and going against) other players to knock out your enemy's base before yours falls.
