Take Two Interactive has announced it financial results for the fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2000. The company reported that its net sales were US$71,472,587, a 12 percent increase over the same period last year. Net income for the quarter ended July 31 was reported to be US$3,448,971. This latest quarterly report follows the recent earnings trend shown by the company. Over the last nine-month period the company's net sales were US$264,398,385, a US$80,389,930, or 44 percent increase from net sales of US$184,008,455 for the same period a year ago.
In addition to releasing its latest financial report, the company briefly discussed its support-position for the Sony PlayStation 2. The company has already announced Smuggler's Run, which will be ready for the console's October 26 launch. Additionally, Take Two will release Midnight Club: Street Racing, Cool Pool, Oni, and one yet to be announced product before Q1 2001. In total, Take Two plans to release at least 10 PlayStation 2 games for the fiscal year 2001.
