Razer's E3 2010 lineup consisted of the Onza Xbox 360 controller and a series of Starcraft 2-branded peripherals that include the Spectre gaming mouse, Marauder keyboard, and Banshee headset.
The $49 Onza wired Xbox 360 controller takes console customizability to a new level. The controller's dual analog sticks have adjustable tension, and it comes with a second set of shoulder buttons that can map any of the existing buttons. The ABXY buttons feel like clicky mouse buttons, making them very quick to press. A lighting system illuminates the D pad and buttons. Expect to see the Onza in stores in the third quarter of 2010.
Razer partnered with Blizzard to create a lineup of gaming peripherals specifically for Starcraft 2. The $79 Spectre gaming mouse has five buttons, a 5600 DPI laser sensor, mouse button force adjustment, 1000Hz polling, and lights that react to how fast you play that are measured in actions per minute(APM), as Starcraft 2 players are apt to measure their performance.
Razer's $119 backlit Marauder Gaming Keyboard features the same APM lighting system as the mouse and also has elevated keys and a dedicated on-the-fly macro recording system. The keyboard also features 1000Hz polling.
The $119 Banshee Gaming Headset has Starcraft 2-inspired styling and the same APM lighting system. Other features include built-in volume and mic control, a detachable microphone boom, and a circumaural design with 50mm drivers.
All of the Starcraft 2 peripherals also have lighting systems that will respond to in-game events, like base attacks, and will also light up when certain units have completed construction.
Expect all of these products to appear in the third quarter of 2010.
