Alongside its Heroes of the Dorm tournament, Blizzard made a number of announcements today regarding upcoming Heroes of the Storm content.
Warcraft's Sylvanas Windrunner, who was previously announced as a playable character, is the next to be added to the game. She's a Specialist-class hero capable of high DPS and siege damage. A new trailer provides a bit of narrative on her addition, while the one below focuses on her in-game abilities. These include her Heroic abilities, one of which allows for her to turn an enemy minion or mercenary against the enemy team. The unit in question gets a health and damage buff, while the cooldown timer varies depending on how powerful of a unit is possessed.
The next Battleground, Tomb of the Spider Queen, was also further detailed. It's described as a "small map that feels like a knife fight in a closet." This map's unique objective involves slaying enemy minions to claim gems, which in turn are used to summon waves of Webweavers, as seen above.

Level caps and a lack of gold to buy new Heroes had been common sources of complaints among fans, and they are both something that Blizzard is looking to address in future patches. Heroes, who were previously capped at level 10, will be able to reach level 20, offering (current) max-level players something to continue working toward.
Players will also be rewarded with gold when hitting new Hero level milestones (1,250 at level 15, and 2,500 at 20). Additionally, they'll earn 2,000 gold whenever they reach certain account levels (20, 25, 30, 35, 40), with these rewards being handed out retroactively for those who have already fulfilled the requirements. This should make it easier to buy new Heroes--who, after having a higher price when they are first released, range in price from 2,000 to 10,000 gold --without spending real-world money,
Some of the upcoming changes to the user interface were previewed. These include making portraits more prominent (allowing you to better show off your accomplishments) while in a party, and revamping the post-game recap screen. You can see the new look in the images below.
Finally, Blizzard outlined the Heroes with the highest winning percentages in both quick matches and Hero League.
