Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn, both of whom have appeared in Star Wars movies but never together, are set to appear in a new movie from Limitless director Neil Burger.

　　The movie is a psychological thriller called The Marsh King's Daughter. Mendelsohn is lined up to play Jacob Holbrook, the "Marsh King," who in the story kept his daughter and her mother imprisoned in the wilderness for a period of years, according to Deadline.

　　Ridley plays his daughter, Helena, who eventually escaped captivity. Years later, Holbrook escapes from a maximum security prison and Helena, using the hunting and tracking skills she learned as a child, is sure she can track him down.

　　"But as Helena hunts her father to return him to prison, gradually she realizes that his escape is the first step in an elaborate scheme to kidnap her and her two young daughters. As their cat-and-quarry game unfolds, she must use all of her wilderness skills not only to thwart his plan, but to survive it," reads a description from the book.

　　The movie is based on the book of the same name, The Marsh King's Daughter, which was written by Karen Dionne and published in 2017. The screenplay was written by Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) and Elle Smith. Filming is expected to begin in Canada in June.

　　Ridley starred in the new Star Wars trilogy as Rey, while Mendelsohn portrayed the villainous Krennic in the spin-off Star Wars: Rogue One.
