Now Playing: Sonic Forces - Custom Hero Trailer
We also get a peek at a custom character in action, as well as some of the gadgets you'll be able to use in the game, including a flamethrower and a grappling hook of sorts. The video concludes with another quick look at Forces' modern-style, 3D Sonic action, and a 2D side-scrolling segment.
Sonic Forces, formerly known as Project Sonic 2017, is one of two new Sonic games being released this year, along with Sonic Mania. Like that game, Forces is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
