Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will not be a PlayStation 3 exclusive after all. Developer Sanzaru Games today announced on the PlayStation Blog that a version of the upcoming platformer is also in development for Sony's PlayStation Vita. The game will launch this fall on the same day as the already announced PS3 version. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will be a multiplatform affair.

　　According to Sanzaru Games president Glen Egan, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for the PS Vita will contain system-specific features that make use of the front and rear touch screens, as well as the device's motion controls. Additionally, the game boasts cross-save support, allowing players to save their progress on either the PS3 or PS Vita version and pick it up on either device right where they left off.

　　Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time picks up after the events of the 2005 PlayStation 2 game Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. In the title, Sly travels through time, meeting up with his ancestors across a "wild adventure." It is the first new Sly Cooper title Sanzaru Games has developed, but the studio is familiar with the franchise, having contributed to the Sly Collection.
