Sierra Signs Ferrari for Grand Prix Legends
Sierra Signs Ferrari for Grand Prix Legends-April 2024
Apr 21, 2025 5:05 AM

Sierra Sports announced that it has gained the official license to use Ferrari's Grand Prix car in the company's upcoming racing title for the PC, Grand Prix Legends.

The legendary fiery red Ferrari 312 racer for 1967 has already been incorporated into the highly anticipated racing simulator. The original 312 rolled onto the scales at 1,100 pounds with more than 400 horsepower under the hood. Papyrus, the game's developer, is hoping to push the driving simulation genre to an even higher level of realism with a new engine featuring advanced graphics and vehicle dynamics.

Scuderia Ferrari, first formed back in 1929 to take the racing world head on, holds an unmatched 118 Grand Prix victories out of 600 races.

"We realize that the Grand Prix experience would not be complete without the presence of the sport's most famous and successful icon," said Sean Gleason, director of marketing for Sierra Sports. "Sierra Sports is dedicated to bringing the most realistic simulations to market, which is why we're excited to have Ferrari as a partner in this simulation. Scuderia Ferrari represents everything that is 'grand' about Grand Prix racing."

If you haven't been keeping your eye on Grand Prix Legends, the racing simulator goes back to the historic and dangerously tragic 1967 racing season. Grand Prix Legends hopes to re-create the real-life physics of the classic racers as they drift, "catch air," and respond with the road. Tracks included with the game will include Monaco, Nurburgring, Spa, Kyalami, Zandvoort, and six others.

Grand Prix Legends for Windows 95/98 will hit shelves this month for US$49.99.
