Gamers eager to jump back into the sanguineous Shank universe won't have to wait long. Klei Entertainment today announced that Shank 2 will arrive on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and PC on February 7 in North America, with a European release coming a day later. Shank 2's new Survival mode will be a bloody affair.
Shank 2 is a follow-up to 2010's original Shank, which cast players as a man betrayed by his family and left to die, seeking out and exacting revenge on a range of villains. In the sequel, players will reprise the role of Shank, again using an array of weapons and moves to defeat new enemies.
Shank 2 also sports a new arcade-style Survival mode, in which players can partner with a friend locally or online to take down waves of oncoming goons. For more on Shank 2, check out GameSpot's most recent hands-on preview.
