Sony Computer Entertainment America has today announced the North American release of MLB 2005 for the PlayStation and PS2. The game boasts a number of new features, particularly on the PS2, where gamers can map their face onto a player using an EyeToy camera, compete against other players online, and use voice recognition to call plays via a USB headset. Other improvements over previous games in the series include an all-new career mode, a redesigned franchise mode, and the option to play with all-time greats such as Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb.
