A week ago, when the Resident Evil Director's Cut was announced to the gaming press, many doubted that the Saturn version of Resident Evil would see any enhancements.
However, today Capcom issued a press release that listed a few of the extras that will be present in the Saturn version of the game when it's released this fall.
Added to the regular game are a new monster and an additional weapon for Chris and Jill's arsenal. The Saturn version will also have an arena battle/survival mode in which gamers will have to fight a continuous onslaught of zombies and monsters that attack at relentless speeds.
Capcom says it is standing by the Saturn and releasing quality titles for the machine because the company knows that Saturn gamers want the best games.
Capcom has consistently been one of the only third-party developers to support the system with titles of superior quality.
The Saturn version of Resident Evil will be available in the third quarter for an MSRP of US$49.99.
