Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds will be teaming up for a new animated comedy series called Futha Mucka, according to report from Variety. All that's known about the series--which will be on the mobile video streaming service Quibi--so far is this unusual logline: "Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds love each other. More accurately, Ryan loves Sam. When a minor mishap causes Sam to become Ryan’s primary caregiver, things get weird. Ryan is delighted to spend all of his time with Sam. Sam couldn’t be reached for comment."
The series is being created and executive produced by Jim and Brian Kehoe, who will also serve as showrunners. The brothers are the comedy-writing duo behind the 2018 film Blockers.
The co-starring duo of Reynolds and Jackson has previously teamed up for 2017's The Hitman's Bodyguard, which also has a sequel (The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard) forthcoming in 2021.
Futha Mucka will be executive produced by Nina Soriano for Anonymous Content and Charlie Scully, George Dewey, and Patrick Gooing for Maximum Effort. Titmouse (Venture Bros., The Midnight Gospel) will handle the animation.
