Namco has today announced that it is working on a Nintendo DS version of Ridge Racer. The game will use the upcoming handheld's touch screen to facilitate analogue steering, and will boast wireless play for up to six players. A total of 20 tracks will feature in the game, including the original Ridge Racer cityscape, a scenic Northwest course from Ridge Racer Revolution, and the sun-baked desert of the Southwest.
Ridge Racer for the Nintendo DS is currently scheduled for release towards the end of this year. Stay tuned for more information on the game from Nintendo's Gamer's Summit.
