Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi is no longer making games at Q Entertainment. Studio director Nobuhiko Shimizu told Eurogamer today that Mizuguchi has stepped into a more secondary role at the company. Mizuguchi will no longer make games for Q Entertainment.
"Right now Mizuguchi does not produce the games," Shimizu said.
According to the report, since shipping 2011's Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game Child of Eden, Mizuguchi involved himself with academic work while remaining at Q Entertainment. Shimizu said he is now a spokesperson for the company.
Child of Eden shipped in June 2011 for the Xbox 360, selling just 34,000 copies during its launch month, before arriving in September of that year for the PlayStation 3. Both versions received warm critical plaudits.
