Ubi Soft has today shipped the PlayStation 2 version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell to stores in Europe. The game incorporates a number of features that weren't present in the original Xbox version, including a new binocular-vision headset, 30 additional minutes of cinematics, a new four-minute intro with music performed by the Prague Orchestra, and four new levels in the power plant area, which can be seen in today's screenshots.
Splinter Cell is a stealth-based action game in which players assume the role of an agent named Sam Fisher charged with single-handedly saving the world from a massive terrorist threat. The PS2 version of the game is scheduled for release in North America on April 8.
