TOKYO--While Project Altered Beast remains off the release schedule for North American gamers--as was reported earlier this month on GameSpot--new information on the game's Asia release schedule was made known in Japan.
Sega today announced that the PlayStation 2 game will be hitting retailers in seven regions of Asia on January 27. In addition to its release in Japan, Project Altered Beast will be localized in simplified Chinese for release in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. The game will also be translated to Korean for that market.
This will be the second time that Sega is simultaneously releasing a title in three different languages in seven Asian regions. The company did the same for the action adventure game Sakura Taisen V Episode 0: Kouya no Samurai Musume, which was released in September.
