Prey Digital Studios, a newly formed European development studio, has announced Stung, its first game. According to the developer, the game is similar to games like Half-Life, but with an intriguing setting. As the game's story goes, the military, during the time of the Cold War, experimented with using insects in battle. Essentially, insects had the ability to carry viruses, infiltrate enemy facilities undetected, survive nuclear attacks, and even carry tiny weapons of war. However, the insect project has since been scrapped, and a war continues to wage in the bowels of the insect laboratory. In this tongue-in-cheek action game, players assume the role one of these heavily armed insects, and the objective is to survive a variety of enemies, including bugs and other larger animals. Aside from the ornery opposition, players will be faced with a wide range of obstacles, including steam from boiling kettles, spider webs, sticky flypaper traps, and deadly bug spray.

　　In addition to the first-person single-player game, Stung will feature a variety of multiplayer modes, such as deathmatch and capture-the-flag. Prey Digital is currently seeking a publisher for the project and plans to release Stung for the Microsoft Xbox and PC platforms.
