Pokemon Colosseum developer releasing augmented-reality RPG for 3DS
Pokemon Colosseum developer releasing augmented-reality RPG for 3DS-April 2024
Apr 19, 2025 7:30 AM

The 3DS features augmented-reality technology that lets players have a live view of the real world through the device's camera and have onscreen elements augmented by whatever titles support the feature. Genius Sonority, the developer behind the slew of Pokemon Colosseum games, recently announced a new title up for grabs on the Japanese 3DS eShop: an RPG called Denpa Ningen (translated as "radio-wave people").

Search for potentially OP minions in the streets of Tokyo. The RPG requires players to scan their real-life surroundings and use the game's augmented-reality feature to make tiny radio-wave people show up onscreen. Here, players will have to recruit a party to explore in-game dungeons and defeat enemies in turn-based combat. Each character will have unique skills that players can use in battle.

The game will be available in Japan as an eShop download for 800 yen (A$10) on February 8. A demo will be available on February 1 and is limited to 30 plays.
