WarBirds 2.5 sports an expected October release date, announced the game's creator, Interactive Magic.
The WarBirds upgrade will allow players to capture enemy bases with paratroopers that jump out of the back of heavy transport planes, as well as five new World War II airplanes. It will also boast an enhanced user interface and a new squadron scoring system that will allow squadrons around the world to compete against each other. More than 200 players will be able to take part in a game at one time, through use of Interactive Magic's MEGAplayer technology.
