Nvidia has unveiled the GTX 660 and GTX 650, the latest in the chipmaker's line of Kepler-based graphics cards. The cards sport an MSRP of £179.99 ($229) and £89.00 ($199), and are available to order immediately.
The EVGA version of the GTX 660 in all its glory.
The GTX 660 sports a new GK106 chip that features 960 CUDA cores (compared to 1344 in the GTX 660 Ti), a 980Mhz base clock, a boost clock of 1033Mhz, and 2GB of 192-bit GDDR5 memory.
The GTX 650 is based on the same GK107 chip as the GT 640 with 384 CUDA cores, but features a higher 1058Mhz base clock, and 2GB of faster 128-bit GDDR5 memory.
Nvidia claims GTX 660 users will see improvements of up to 60 percent when compared against the GTX 560 at 1080p resolutions, and with a TDP of just 140 watts. Compared to older cards like the GTX 460 and 9800 GT, users may see up to four times the performance.
The GTX 660 and GTX 650 follow on from the launch of the GTX 680, GTX 670, and GTX 660 Ti earlier this year. All cards are based on Nvidia's latest Kepler chip architecture.
