Shhhh. The Entertainment Software Association's (formerly the IDSA) silent auction to benefit a number of children's organizations its ESA Foundation recognizes as worthy has gone live on eBay.
Among items at auction are animation cells, E3 party passes, a Tony Hawk-autographed skateboard, and a Capcom arcade cabinet.
The ESA is sponsoring a lavish event to be held on October 22 at the Westin St. Francis hotel located at Union Square, San Francisco. A cocktail hour and the conclusion to the silent auction will take place that evening, followed by a dinner to be punctuated by presentations and awards.
This year's event chairs are Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft Entertainment; Rob Dyer, president of Eidos Interactive; and Jacqualee Story, executive vice president of business affairs at Nintendo of America.
Additional information about the event can be found at the ESA Web site.
