London, England - Before the gates of ECTS were thrown open to the general registrants on this last day of the show, and as one GameSpot reporter made his way to the GameSpot stand, Nintendo of America's Howard Lincoln was seen in the bucolic splendour of a near-empty Nintendo stand having a go at F-1 World Grand Prix.
His hands gripped tightly around an N64 controller. His eyes, rapt; followed the Formula 1 racer under his command as it made its way round the paved race course. First, the car slammed into the right wall and then dipped deep into the left grass. Then the wall again. And yet again. And then onto the left infield grass again.
"Not a very convincing demonstration," Lincoln said to no one in particular.
Let's just hope he's kinder on the Lexus back in the states.
