Writing on the Halo website, developer 343 Industries outlined the next content update for Xbox One game Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The update, which should launch later this week, "includes updates to UI and a variety of other areas," 343 says.
In addition to that patch, 343 says it is finalizing another Master Chief Collection update that will re-introduce the Halo 4 and Team Hardcore playlists. These playlists should be available "within the next few days," 343 explained.
"Team Hardcore will launch with Halo 2 Classic variants only, and Halo 3 maps and game types will be integrated in a future update," the developer said. "Other fan-favorite playlists are also in the works, including Team Snipers, Team Doubles, an objective-only playlist, and more."
Outside of these Master Chief Collection tweaks, 343 said it is working on even more updates that will include "added improvements" to matchmaking, parties, and other community items. Further details about these updates will be shared later.
The Master Chief Collection launched in November, and immediately faced a number of networking issues that made the game near-unplayable for some. 343 has worked consistently since then to fix the game's online woes, which have now been largely eradicated. In a bid to make it up to fans, Microsoft is giving Master Chief Collection owners a free copy of Halo 3: ODST and more.
