BioShock 2 was released in February and was widely lauded. Publisher 2K Games followed the launch with multiple content expansions, but now it appears PC BioShock fans will have to wait for BioShock Infinite to get their hands on new content.

　　The developer said in a post on the 2K Games forums that the Protector Trials and Minerva’s Den downloadable content will not be offered for the PC community. PC gamers won't be too pleased with this news.

　　"We will also not be offering Protector Trials and Minerva's Den on the PC in the future," reads the statement issued by 2K's senior manager of interactive marketing, Elizabeth Tobey.

　　The statement left a shred of wiggle room, however. The statement reads: "As always, if any of these issues change in the future, I will update you guys first, but at this point in time I don't want to make you wait any longer and these are the most definite answers I have and you guys should deem them final decisions."

　　The first signs of trouble for Minerva's Den on PC surfaced in late August when 2K dated the DLC for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation. Included in the announcement was a line saying that the content will be released "at a later date" for the PC crowd.

　　BioShock 2 was released in February and swiftly shipped more than 3 million units in its first month. The game was followed by two pieces of multiplayer-focused DLC for all systems: the Rapture Metro Pack and the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack.

　　Minerva's Den was the first content pack to include its own single-player narrative and to introduce new solo environments. The Protector Trials were a series of challenges set on maps based on locations found in the main game.
