New World's Into the Void update arrived on November 17, bringing with it a new weapon, new enemies, more quest variety, and more. It also caused all kinds of new issues for Amazon Game Studio's MMO, many of which have now been addressed in New World's latest update.
Patch 1.1.1 fixes much of what the Into the Void update broke. The release of Into the Void saw all Horticulture gear removed from the game by mistake. This latest update adds the items back, and gives a set of Horticulture gear to players who had previously acquired any piece of the set. It also re-enables the trading, moving, and salvaging of housing items, features that were disabled following item duplication exploits that led Amazon to shut down New World's entire player-driven economy for a brief period.

Now Playing: New World - Everything You Need To Know
Other changes in the latest update include fixes for the game's newest weapon, the Void Gauntlet. The Oblivion skill will now go on cooldown as intended if a player tries to swap weapons during the skill's startup, as well as a fix to the skill cleansing consumable status effects.
The above issues aren't the only ones to come out of the Into the Void update. Numerous servers began time traveling following the game's biggest patch to date, causing all kinds of issues due to in-game taxes becoming overdue and throwing the game's PvP-focused faction war into chaos. Amazon rolled back servers affected by the time-travel bug, with recent patches seem to have fixed the issue.
Patch 1.1.1 isn't the most exciting patch, but it is a necessary one. The update also lays the groundwork for server merges, something Amazon previously confirmed to be "on the horizon." Following a massive launch that saw lengthy login queue times and server issues, New World has bounced from one problem to the next on what seems like a weekly basis. Amazon has committed to better communication with the game's playerbase, a promise it seems to be making good on even as the studio seems to be playing whack-a-mole with New World's ongoing issues.
