We recently had a chance to play Microsoft's upcoming zoo management game, Zoo Tycoon, and we captured some screenshots along the way. These screens show off some of the game's different animals, zoo features, and interface. In the game, players must oversee the construction and day-to-day management of a zoo. The different duties include building cages and exhibits, adopting animals, setting admission prices, managing the zoo staff, and building concession stands. In addition, players can oversee research and conservation efforts and try to woo donors by keeping the animals healthy and the zoo visitors happy.
Zoo Tycoon includes a variety of different single-player scenarios with different difficulty levels, as well as a free-play mode where players can design any kind of zoo they like. Zoo Tycoon is scheduled for release in October. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game, and stay tuned for an in-depth preview of the game next week.
