GameWorks has readied a new attraction for its video entertainment centers/restaurant complexes, a motion ride/arcade game based on Steven Spielberg's movie The Lost World, the company announced.
The game's action takes place in Jurassic Park: The Lost World's mini-theaters, where up to four people at a time will take their seats in mini-roller-coaster-style pods. The lights will go out, and the pod will shake with the sound and movement of approaching giant dinosaurs. Players will cooperate "to safely escape from a world filled with dangerous man-eating dinosaurs."
As participants wait for their turn in the pod, they will be able to watch other players (and receive instructions on how to play the game) via television monitors, whilst the walls will be covered with Jurassic Park paraphernalia: night-vision goggles, dinosaur bones, jackets worn by the movie's stars (think Planet Hollywood based on a single flick).
The attraction should premiere Friday at GameWorks' Seattle location.
