Simon & Schuster Interactive has released the first video trailer from its upcoming Xbox game, Outlaw Golf. The game includes cartoon-style characters and fictional courses, but it also features a realistic gameplay system. However, the general theme of the game is over the top, and, as such, the golfers in the game have the ability to take out their aggression on their respective caddy. As shown in the trailer, when golfers confront their caddies, the game switches into a toned-down fighting game, where the player is able to throw punches and kicks and perform grapple moves. Taking out frustrations on helpless caddies is a crucial element of the game, because the worse the player performs the more exasperating game's controls get.
Outlaw Golf is currently on schedule for release in Q2 2002 for the Xbox.
