Netflix's New Series Is The Most Exciting Show About Mail Delivery You'll Ever See-April 2024
Apr 19, 2025 8:12 PM

Netflix's upcoming original series The Letter for the King takes everything you know about delivering a piece of mail, and flips it on its head. That may be reading into the new series a bit too much, but from the looks of the new trailer, this series is just that--with swords, magic, and nasty thugs.

Set to hit the streaming service on March 20, The Letter for the King is based on the novel of the same name by Tonke Dragt. Now, it's an original series for Netflix, and the first trailer has arrived, which you can see below.

The series is written by How To Train Your Dragon's Will Davies, who is also serving as executive producer alongside Paul Trijbits. It stars Amir Wilson, Ruby Serkis, Thaddea Graham, and Gijs Blom. There will be six episodes in the series, with each one coming in at around 45 minutes in length.

The official synopsis for the series reads, "The Letter for the King is the story of a ruthless prince who threatens to cast the world into darkness, when a young knight in training named Tiuri (Wilson) embarks on an epic quest to deliver a secret letter to the king. Along the way, he unexpectedly finds himself at the center of a magical prophecy foretelling the rise of a hero who can defeat the prince and restore peace. If he’s going to survive the journey, Tiuri will have to learn what it means to be a true knight--and a true leader."

So if you're into magic, swordfights, and cool groups of kids getting together for a single cause, and you work for the USPS, UPS, or any other mail delivery company, you'll probably want to watch The Letter for the King when it comes to Netflix on March 20.
