Naughty Dog has no plans to port its PlayStation 3 game The Last of Us to the PlayStation 4, the developer has said.
Asked by a fan on the PlayStation Blog (via Videogamer) if Naughty Dog would consider bringing the postapocalyptic action game to the next-generation console, community strategist Eric Monacelli said, "We have no plans to do that."
The Last of Us was released in June to a positive critical reception and initial shipments of 3 million copies. New multiplayer downloadable content for the game was released yesterday, while a single-player expansion is due out later this year or early next.
It was confirmed at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo in June that Naughty Dog is now working on a PS4 game, though no details about this project have come to light yet.
