Minecraft's Nether Update is now live. It adds four new biomes to the Nether within Minecraft: Soulsand Valley, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, and Basalt Deltas, each with new enemies and unique spawn rates.

　　Content for the update was detailed in a blog post on the official Minecraft site, including a list of new materials, enemies, and environments.

　　"Discover Netherite, a powerful new material that makes diamond look like cobblestone. Beware the Piglins as you either trade blows or strike a deal," the post reads. "Avoid the hideous Hoglins, or hunt them for a snouty snack. Explore the Nether Wastes, search the Soulsand Valleys, traverse the Basalt Deltas, or venture into the Crimson and Warped Forests."

　　The update became available on June 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10, and other platforms on the Bedrock version of Minecraft. The Bedrock version is the full remake of Minecraft developed for consoles by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, 4J Studios, and SkyBox Labs.

　　The update is also available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux on the Java version, the original build created by Markus "Notch" Persson.

　　The update features music from composer Lena Raine, most known for her award-winning work on Celeste and Guild Wars 2. Three original tracks will be featured across the new biomes introduced to the Nether. The track "Rubedo" will be played in the Nether Wastes, "Chrysopoeia" can be heard in Crimson Forests, while "So Below" will feature in both Souls and Valleys and Basalt Deltas. The new soundtrack is available on Spotify.
