Following Mojang's Minecraft to the Wii U is Telltale's own spin on the franchise. Minecraft: Story Mode is coming to the Nintendo console later this week, but players hoping to play through all of the released episodes at once will have to wait.
The fifth and final episode of Minecraft: Story Mode is nearly out, but Wii U owners will have to wait for episodes two through five as they will be made available in the coming weeks. The first episode will cost $4.99, while the rest of them will come in a season pass priced at $19.99.
Telltale Games said in a press release that the Wii U's game pad will feature off-TV play, allowing players to move between screens while playing. Players will also be able to use the game pad as a touch interface to control the game.
Minecraft: Story Mode will be available for the Wii U on January 21.
