Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson appeared on The Late Late Show last night on CBS, spending his time eating chocolate and discussing Mario Kart with host Craig Ferguson.
Persson's interview segment begins at the 28-minute mark and spans about ten minutes' worth of back and forth with Ferguson. During the interview, Persson explains that he is a fan of Grand Theft Auto V, has "far more money than I could ever spend," and has no plans to sell Mojang.
Notch is not the first game developer to appear on a late night TV program, though he is one of the first independent developers to do so.
NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon hosts an annual Video Game Week, where Fallon invites various developers onto his show. Past guests included former Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski, Naughty Dog developers Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, as well as Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, among others.
