Microsoft has sent out invitations to an event to "share some exciting news" about Windows 10 devices.
According to a report by The Verge, Microsoft will use the event to reveal to the world its Surface Pro 4 and two new Lumia phones.
The Surface Pro 4 is rumored to have the same form-factor as the Surface Pro 3, but will have a newer Skylake processor and native Windows 10 integration.
At its September live event, long-time Microsoft rival Apple revealed its long-rumored 12.9" iPad Pro, which is aimed at enterprise users. A stylus, called the Apple Pencil, was also revealed and shown off during Apple's event.
The Windows 10 devices event will see an appearance by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. It's set to be held in New York City on October 6 at 7 AM PDT/10 AM EDT.
Invitations were sent out to select members of the press. Doors for the event open at 9 AM EDT, so tech writers can get there early to jockey for position.
