Westwood Studios' Dune 2000 is finally hitting stores this Friday, available at some locations for a mere US$35. A remaking of Dune II, the classic that most consider started the real-time strategy craze, Dune 2000 features full motion video, multiplayer support, use of the Command & Conquer: Red Alert engine, and more.
"Since we've announced this title, the feedback from our fans has been tremendous," said Lewis Peterson, producer of Dune 2000. "Long-time fans are getting a favorite game upgraded for the '90s, and a generation of new fans will finally be able to wage war in the compelling world of Dune."
