Coming soon to a theater near you ... Windows 98? Well, sort of.
Microsoft announced its plans to bring Microsoft Extreme, a satellite broadcast and audience question-and-answer session, to 38 movie theaters in the United States and Canada on Saturday, April 4. The event, which promotes Microsoft's new operating system, is free and open to the public, but Microsoft says that registration is required. (You can do that through Microsoft's web site or by calling 1-800-550-4300.)
Microsoft Extreme activities include a 45-minute demonstration of Windows 98, as well as Office 97 Small Business Edition, Publisher 98, and other Microsoft business products.
An appearance by Leonardo DiCaprio is not expected.
